Spanish football player Jenny Hermoso believes that an important precedent can be created in the wake of the trial of Luis Rubiales.
Hermoso’s comments come after the former president of the Football Association condemned her sexual assault.

On Friday, Rubiales obtained an appeal against his ban for three years of football, which was rejected by the CAS Arbitration Court (CAS).
It was banned for violating Article 13 of the FIFA Disciplinary Law and the comment was supported by the FIFA Appeals Committee in January 2024.
CAS confirmed that they refused to appeal, and decided that the imposed punishment was “reasonable and consistent.”
