January can be a bit of a tough month with cash being drained and festive fatigue, which is why it’s so important to have good TV – and thankfully The Masked Singer is back!
The ITV show is returning to the small screen today So that the nation can once again participate in the best guessing game.
For those who are not familiar with the concept, the identities of a group of celebrities are hidden under huge costumes, and the judges try to correctly guess their identity through their singing and some mysterious clues. Before elimination (which is voted on by the studio audience, but the judges choose between the bottom two), they make their best guesses and find out if they are right. Ultimately, only one person remains and is declared the winner.
Tonight’s viewers can watch host Joel Dommett try to reign in the chaos of the family show, and if they’re still looking for more after the 90-minute episode, there’s some good news – for the first time, there will be a spin-off After Mask show hosted by Harriet Rose .
Joel, 39, has joked that “crazy names” hide behind the personalities. Extravagant characters include Spag bol, Bush, Tattoo, Snail and Pufferfish.

The Masked Singer 2025 Jury
The painting is highly recognizable to long-term viewers Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan All back.
However, there is a new face joining the line-up for series six in the form of Love Island host Mia Jama, who will replace Rita Ora.
Speaking about her new role, she said: “I’m a huge Masked Singer fan, so joining the panel alongside Davina, Jonathan and Mo – and of course working with Joel – will be so much fun!”
“I can’t wait to see who’s wearing all these amazing costumes, feel the energy of their performance, and have front row seats to the unveiling.” ‘I’ve been watching the show for a long time, so I’ll definitely bring my A-game to the panel!’
What time is The Masked Singer tonight?
To avoid spoilers, the best thing to do is watch live (if your Saturday night schedule allows) and the episode is streamed from 7 pm.
Fans won’t have to wait long to watch the second episode, which will air a little earlier Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. It will be replaced next week by Dancing On Ice, so it will return to just one show a week.
The series usually has eight episodes, so it will likely be the end February 15.
Who won The Masked Singer 2024 Christmas special?
To warm up viewers for the full return, The Masked Singer aired its Christmas special on Boxing Day.
The celebratory edition followed the same format, but in a faster version, where all the celebrities were revealed in one episode and the winner was announced.
Frankie Goes to Hollywood frontman Holly Johnson beat off competition from This Morning presenter Josie Gibson, Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse, and Davina, who surprised her fellow panellists by switching roles.
