US plans massive health database to study autism – will it work?

When Robert F. Kennedy Junior took over as head of the US Department of Health and Humanitarian Services (HHS) earlier this year, it was clear that determining the causes of autism would be one of his higher priorities. Before becoming a public health official in the country, Kennedy spent most of his careful career in allegations that vaccines were behind high autism rates. Now, autism has announced an epidemic – and launches an initiative worth $ 50 million to treat it.
