President Trump Susan Monarerez, Acting Director of Disease Control and Prevention Centers, has chosen to lead the agency permanently.
The president withdrew his first candidate, Dr. Dave Wildon, just hours before the confirmation session. If the Senate confirmed, Dr. Monares, a researcher in infectious infection, will be the first physicist to lead the agency for more than 50 years.
The President wrote about the facts of the complex, adding that Dr. Monares will work with the Minister of Health, Robert F. Kennedy Junior, “
Mr. Trump wrote: “As an incredible mother and a dedicated government employee, Dr. Monares realizes the importance of protecting our children, societies and our future,” he wrote.
Dr. Monares, 50, took over the position of director of acting a few days after Mr. Trump took office in January, leaving the deputy director of a new biomedical research agency created during the Biden administration.
Dr. Monares was expected to be confirmed until Mr. Trump’s first option was confirmed for the job, Dr. Wildon. But after Mr. Trump decided to withdraw the nomination, the Republican Assistants in the Senate said that Dr. Wildde had failed to persuade them of the agency plan.
Dr. Wildon blames two Republican Senate members – Susan Collins from Min and Bill Cassidy from Louisiana – in the rotation against him.
Some experts said that Dr. Monares was a sharp contradiction with Dr. Wildon, whose skeptical views are compatible with childhood vaccines with the opinions of Mr. Kennedy and sparked a warning in the medical community.
Mr. Kennedy responded to the growing measles spread in Texas and New Mexico, including his lukewarm recommendation, great criticism. Dr. Monares is an expert in biological security who supported Covid vaccines, and her choice may indicate an increased patience with the feelings of the Anti -Qazi.
“It has a strong reputation as a researcher and a strong expert in infectious diseases,” said Dr. George Benjamin, Executive Director of the American General Health Assembly.
“She clearly understands public health and the role played by government public health,” he said. “I think the public health community can work with it in a positive way.”
But Dr. Monares spent weeks from Atlanta, where the agency’s headquarters is located. The comprehensive agency’s meetings have not attended or provided reassurance to unstable employees due to the disturbance of the past weeks, according to several employees from the Center for Disease Control who spoke on the condition of anonymity for fear of revenge.
The Agency’s comments section of the agency was removed quickly after the employees started noting that they wanted to communicate more from them.
The officials said that the directors of the center explain the president’s executive orders and the various instructions of the court with a few inputs from the director.
Instead, the proxy manager was a channel for the directives of the White House and the Ministry of Health and Humanitarian Services.
For example, it works with the initiative to reduce the costs known as the Ministry of Governmental efficiency to plan to reduce the agency, according to a former official in the matter.
When the Trump administration ordered the Center for Disease Control by lowering the pages from its location on its website, which contains phrases such as “LGBTQ” and “transgender”, Dr. Monares did not resist or tries to preserve important data, according to three people who have knowledge of events, who spoke on the condition of not detecting his identity for fear of revenge.
