US President-elect Donald Trump, who will take office in just two days, officially launched the $TRUMP meme cryptocurrency on Solana a few hours ago.
The price exploded more than 20 times after the launch. At the time of writing, Trump is trading at $13.8 with a market cap of $13.8 billion. This makes it among the top 20 cryptocurrencies globally in terms of market capitalization.

In what could be one of the most painful trades of 2025, blockchain analytics platform LookOnChain has reported a devastating opportunity missed by one trader. The unfortunate investor sold $4.49 million of TRUMP tokens for $3.86 million, keeping only $30,000 of TRUMP (worth about $393k) in his wallet.
