Ange Postecoglou has warned Tottenham Chiefs that the club will be playing with fire by not handing over any reinforcements this month.
Tottenham are suffering from a striker injury crisis amid a dismal Premier League campaign so far, sparking demands for transfer activity from fans.
And Postecoglou seems to agree with the fan base’s strong desire for new recruits…
“I’m not out there trying to find opportunities for the club. That’s not my role at this time. There’s no time to do that,” Postoglou explained on Friday.
“I don’t think I’m stating anything other than the obvious, and for me to come here and say anything else would be scary. This band needs help. There’s no doubt about that.”
“We are playing with fire by not bringing anyone in, but the other side of that is that the club is trying to change that situation.”
