Alexander Zverev, a German -seeded, speaks to reporters before the launch of the BNP Paribas open campaign in Indian Wales (Matthew Stokman)

Alexander Zvevv’s number two of the world, who was riding high after the run -up to Janic Athine in the Australian Open Championship, aims to turn matters in Indian Wales after three difficult tournaments in February.

“It was the South American swing for me,” said the German on Wednesday as he was preparing to launch his campaign at the ATP and WTA championship combined in the California desert.

“I got sick two weeks of three weeks not great. But I wanted to go to clay. I wanted to play this swing. I heard a lot of great things on this topic, so I wanted to try it once.”

Zverev said that he was hoping to get the beginning of preparations for the mud season.

But he lost in the quarter -finals of the Clay Court championships in Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro, then headed north and fell in the second round of the Solid Court in Aquolco, Mexico, for the learner of the American teenager Tian.

In Buenos Aires, he was infected with food poisoning. He said he struggled to overcome steam -saturated conditions in Rio, and a disease in Aquolco, where “many players were injured.”

“I also didn’t play a great tennis,” he said. “Perhaps this was not the right thing to do in the end, especially after reaching the Australian Open Championship finals, perhaps they should have been stuck in the solid court for a little longer.”

He has now returned to the first station of “Sunshine Double” from the solid court championships that will continue in the Miami Open.

He was planted first, as the sinner was marginalized by banning late medicines for three months, and he said he was decent and ready to compete.

“I still feel positive,” he said. “I still think I started a good start for this season. If I look at Australia, I arrived at another Grand Slam final. But of course, I want to find his rhythm again and I want to win tennis matches again.

“Now I feel good.” “It took some time, but I feel good.”
