It’s as if we’ve been hearing over the past few months that it will be getting Apple’s “Air” branding. in newsletter, BloombergiPhone’s Mark Gurman says the iPhone 17 lineup will feature a new model that could be called the iPhone 17 Air, and it will be about 2mm thinner than any other model we’ve seen so far. “It will feature an entry-level A19 chip and a single-lens camera system, and will serve as a proving ground for future technologies, including those that could allow for foldable devices,” Gurman notes. This and the upcoming new iPhone SE will use Apple’s first internal modem, according to Gorman.

We’ll also likely see upgrades to the entry-level iPad making it compatible with Apple Intelligence. Gorman mentions that the next generation iPad will get an A17 Pro chip and 8GB of memory. This news should come in the spring with the new iPhone SE and iPad Air models, according to Gurman.
