When Apple first unveiled at Apple Intelligence, a list of AI obstetric features, a large part of this advertisement was a very charged Siri. The digital Apple assistant is no longer behind competitors like Google: with the strength of artificial intelligence, the new Siri may be already useful.
When Apple Intelligence decreases completely, Siri will be more aware of the context, and you are able to wipe what is on your phone to understand the questions you ask. If your friend sends you his new address, you can ask Siri, “Add this address to their contact card.” You do not need to select the address or connection, because the assistant, according to Apple, is able to understand this currently on the screen. Another huge feature is the ability to ask Siri to take action for you: you can ask Siri to send your e -mail in your drafts, edit a copy on your behalf, or add an image to a specific note.
If your iPhone is compatible with Apple Intelligence, you may have assumed that it supports this new Siri. IOS 18 has come out a little bit, and Apple has pushed Apple Intelligence (and new Siri), including a campaign that shows Bella Ramsey. Some Apple Store employees even I started chanting about artificial intelligence during the launch of the iPhone 16.
Waiting game
The thing is that the new Siri is not here yet. Apple upgraded Siri a little with iOS 18.1, and the first wave of new artificial intelligence features: This includes the new Siri design, which glows around the edges of the screen; The ability to write to Siri by double eavesdropping at the bottom of the screen; Siri’s ability to understand requests even when you are wrong; And a new feature that turns Siri into improvised technical support (for example, “How can I turn it off?”).
But iOS 18.1 came and went without any other updates to Siri. IOS 18.2 added more Apple Intelligence features, including ChatGPT integration, but there are no major changes in Siri. IOS 18.3 was a smaller update (Apple to notice notification notifications for specific alert types), but, again, any siri promotions were crossed. At one point, IOS 18.4 seemed to be the most likely Siri update, but, unfortunately, there is no dice. (It brings a number of new features.)
It is not clear when the full model of Siri will reach
Anyone who strongly expects artificial intelligence, Siri, will need to continue to wait. Mark Gorman was informed of Bloomberg in September Apple was planning to launch most of the large Siri features by iOS 18.4. However, shortly before Apple dropped the first 18.4 experimental copies in February, Gourman said that the issues and errors affect the engineering teamThose who face a problem with Siri features of artificial intelligence constantly working. (More on that below.) As a result, Siri can be delayed further. It turned out that his approach was true.
Again in February, the Gorman report said that Apple hopes to charge the new AI Siri features with iOS 18.5, which is likely to appear at some point in May. Unfortunately, this does not seem to be the case: Apple has presented the first experimental version of iOS 18.5 at the beginning of April, with no new Siri features – although you can re -appear the old mail application.
Now, attention does not turn into another version of iOS 18, but iOS 19 instead. New York Times reports Apple plans to plan Apple to enter Siri that works itself capable of tasks such as editing and sending a photo to a contact at some point in the fall. This would put the new Siri on the right track to be released with the next large operating system from Apple – a full year after AI Siri was originally supposed to be launched.
These tracks with some previous reports from Gurman, who said Apple plans major Siri comprehensive repair for iOS 19 (IOS is probably 19.4). To get Siri works with artificial intelligence on iOS 18, Gorman says Apple was forced to separate Siri to two parts– Or minds, as it places: one of the brain is the traditional Siri tasks that we have known over the years (setting reminders, making calls, choosing a song, etc.), while the other deals with new artificial intelligence features. Ideally, these two sciences will be converted into one, to provide the most complete Siri experience. This is simply not ready yet. According to Apple, the Apple wanted to make Siri more conversation, and perhaps closer to a ChatGPT sound mode, but, like other Apple AI features, is also delayed, and may not be shown in WWDC. In fact, it may not even reach iOS 20, late in 2027. Whoever knows where will be competitors like Chatgpt by that time.

Siri was a disaster in Apple HQ

Not all iPhone devices will get new Siri features
Although Apple supports iPhone as much XS with iOS 18, many iPhone devices will actually get these new Siri features. This is because Apple Intelligence is limited to iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 16 – including the new iPhone 16e. If you have iPhone 15 or larger, you will not see these new promotions, even when updating to iOS 18.5, or any update that contains Siri Ai-Operhaed.
