What is the best advice you received ever?
I don’t want to be confined, but this advice certainly came at a time in my life as I really needed to hear it. In 2013, when I was on a tour with Nick Kaif, I was facing a problem with my partner at the time. Our biggest norms erupted when I went on a tour, because he felt that I was choosing my career for a relationship.
So I asked Nick: “I am sure that you and Sousse have a lot of battles about the number of times you can walk. This is all for me.
My mind was blown away. I knew that this is something I need in my life. So when I returned from that tour, I started making major changes.
What is your most unforgettable interaction with a fan?
There was a woman named Ariel who was very sick. She had a lot of breathing problems and was waiting for the lung transplant. It came to multiple offers and chanted me and my colleagues in the band. I remember that we were in Charlottesville, Virginia, and I saw her on the street with a friend. They were crying, telling me how much our music means, and how I helped Ariel through all hospital residency, and every time she had to do breathing exercises. Her parents will help her to reach all our parties and she was always an introduction. I was singing seventeen at the end of the show.
We stayed in contact over the years and had a last conversation on Zoom before you decided to go to Hospice. It was really, really intense. She was afraid, but also in peace. It had a deep effect on all our lives. I wrote the hereafter as it died.
You are a musician who does not like jamming. How does this work?
As old, I just give less than damn, do you know? But I tend to be alone during the writing process. I also try to contact my colleagues in the band [The Attachment Theory] I try to give up and grow as an artist and do things that I do not usually do. So this album is the first time that I really reflect on. This came after a week of rehearsals in the last round, when I was really tired of hearing myself. I asked, “Can we just jam?” Then we finished writing two songs in an hour and left me with great inspiration. This sparked the idea of starting writing together.
Hit Netflix has acted. If it is not canceled prematurely in 2019, how did you finish it?
It is funny because I know what they want to do with it. I will say that because whoever cares! Every time the season changes, it was more than a prisoner’s life. If you get my season, I think it was about to be in a band. I am very curious about how it would form. But how do you finish it? I don’t know. Waking up from the dream and none of them happened?
I am a little embarrassing of my experience in the show because I am not an actor. I just feel a comfortable face and a concerned face, and this is related to it.

The piano I learned should be to play on. He came with the house I moved to when I was about five or six years old. My mother tells this story when we first moved – I am one of five children, so he was very messy, and everyone was running, demanding rooms and exploring the house. The old Victorian installation-the boxes were everywhere and everyone was getting fragments only from running on the stairs. My mother could not find me, so she kept looking and looking until she heard me crying quietly under this big child. I found safety under the piano. It has become the place where I will find comfort – my mother will just find me playing a note and matching the tone of observation, which is what I learned to sing. I had no idea as a child, but at that moment, I think, I really started searching for condolences in music. I am very curious if this piano is still there. I thought about the door ways.
What do you think the most controversial in pop culture?
After promoting the newsletter
I really don’t understand fashion. There are really some short skirts, as well as very loose things – why can’t you wear clothes that suit you? How do people wander with half the donkey hanging from their skirt? Is this comfortable? I do not say do not wear it. I am more worried because you are not comfortable. Oh, I am very boring!
What are the pets that you have, what other names and what are the other borrowed names?
We have a rescue dog named Lindy. It was called the name of a boy named Lindon that my son met only once at the time, but he had a profound impact on him. Sometimes we call Lindylolloo or Digger, because it loves to dig in dirt. It is Freakazoid wireless hair. I don’t know if Lindon really knows if a dog was named after him. I would like to meet some time. It will be very sweet.
What is the strangest thing you did for love?
I started watching sports. I was never a sporting person, but my partner from North Carolina and his family are hard -line UNC [University of North Carolina] Fans. I stopped taking care of sports as a child. But the major and college league is completely different worlds. When I started following these university children and watching personal files on them and how they play literally for their lives, because they make them or break them at this level, the games become severe. When we meet together to watch games, everyone wears blue. Sometimes I laugh at myself, but it brings us comfort. I still learn all the rules. I love all competitions, friendship and back stories, which really surprised me.
If you have a sandwich named after it, what will be in it?
One of my guilty pleasures that stems from IHOP working days in IHOP [International House of Pancakes] – I would like to do mashed potatoes on toast with the broth. The white broth should be open to rye bread. I will get endless coffee too. Together – mashed potatoes on roasted bread with white broth, with coffee – is Sharon Van Etten. Without coffee, it does not work. Very euphoria, but very delicious.
What are you very good in?
I used to take advantage of the dance. I hadn’t taken lessons, but I did the theater and things, so I could do the impression of Lisa Mennelli. I no longer have clicking shoes anymore, but if I feel spices and have shoes that can click click, I will tear my time. It is not like a complete performance, it is just a small taste. This depends on a hot extent, but it makes people laugh. I am not the most graceful person in any way – in tap dance, there is a thin line between the elephant in the China and Fred Astaire wardrobe.
