Rod Stewart and Billy Joel will reunite for an exclusive one-night-only show at New York’s Yankee Stadium on Friday, July 18.

Rudd, 80, announced the news on Thursday (January 23) on Instagram, writing: “billyjoel and I will be joining forces to play a one-night-only show at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio, on September 20, 2025.”

“For Citi card members, you can get your first chance to purchase tickets starting Monday, January 27 at 10 a.m. EST. For everyone else, tickets will go on sale on Friday, January 31 at 10 a.m. EST.”

According to Yankee Stadium representatives, the iconic duo will perform their “favorite songs” spanning decades of their careers.

Fans flocked to Rod’s comments section with many asking the rocker to perform in their city.

“Please come to LA,” one fan pleaded, while another urged: “Come to Peru, Rod.”

Another said: “Please have him join you at the Budweiser Theater in Toronto!!!”

While a fourth urged: “Please come to Madison Square Garden New York.”

Uptown Girl singer Billy is currently performing across the US with shows featuring Sting and Stevie Nicks, while Rudd has a busy schedule ahead of the summer, including a February show in Atlantic City.

The ceremony marks Billy’s return to Yankee Stadium after 35 years. The last time he performed was in 1990 at the Original Stadium in a show titled Billy Joel Live from Yankee Stadium.

“It is also fitting that Billy Joel, born in the Bronx and known for New York, will become the first musical act to headline a show,” Scott Krug, Yankees senior vice president, said in a statement. In both the original Yankee Stadium and the current Yankee Stadium.

The announcement came after Sir Rod confirmed he will be adding two more shows to his One Last Time Tour later this year.

The rock legend is already headlining Glastonbury Festival later this year during the Sunday Legend slot. Additional show dates will be in Sofia, Bulgaria and Athens, Greece.

He wrote on Instagram: “I am happy to announce that I will be adding two more shows to my One Last Time Tour this December!

“On December 11, I will be performing in Sofia, Bulgaria, and on December 13, I will be heading to Athens, Greece! Hope to see you there!”

On his world tour, it has already been confirmed that the British singer will perform in Toronto, Nashville, Florida, Oslo, Krakow and other European cities.

The English singer, who is married to Loose Women star and former model Penny Lancaster, recently celebrated his 80th birthday this month with lavish celebrations.

Posting a throwback photo of himself from his younger years, he told his fans: “Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes – 80 years old!

“What an amazing journey it has been – from unforgettable moments on and off stage to receiving some truly special accolades along the way. But above all, my greatest joy has always been performing for you.
