Barry Ferguson, Rangers coach, told his players that “they could not be kind all the time” if they want to overcome Vincus and progress in the European League.

They have 3-1 of the match last week in Istanbul, with the winners to face Rome or Bilbao in the quarter-finals of the competition.

But after three consecutive defeats in Abrox in the Scottish Cup and the Graduate Studies League, Ferguson urges his players to tighten the crowd behind them Thursday evening.

Ferguson believes, with a crowd of Abrox behind them, Rangers can overcome Fenerbahce and progress in the quarter -finals in the European League

“Sometimes we are very nice, I told my players that we could not be cute all the time,” he said. “If you get this place a shake, it is a suitable place to play football and tell the players to do so.

“When you come out with a specific position to play the game, there is no better place to play football.

“We will continue and will be challenged tomorrow (Thursday) night because it will be a different game in my opinion.

“We need to stand tall and we need to go face to face with Fenerbahce because they will come and go to us.”
