TV personality and animal rights campaigner Pete Wicks is set to star in a new programme. For dogsIn collaboration with Dogs Trust, where he works as an ambassador.
A special screening took place today at the charity’s center in Basildon, with Weeks leading guests down the Red Claw.
The TV star had a great time with puppies Nigel, Pepper and Dory, and was joined by his former Strictly partner Jowita Pryzstal who came to show her support.
Weeks expressed his enthusiasm for the project, saying, “Anyone who knows me knows that I prefer animals to people, so this show is a real passion project for me.
“With two rescue dogs of my own, animal welfare is close to my heart, and I am very excited to partner with U&W for this amazing opportunity.”
The documentary series follows Weeks as he teams up with Dogs Trust to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome vulnerable dogs. The series will air on U&W and U, offering viewers behind-the-scenes access to the Dogs Trust and exploring the individual stories of dogs.
From the moment of rescue to the point of going home, Weeks will play a crucial role in the rehabilitation process of the dogs on the show.
