In another dominant performance in Thunder Valley, Kyle Larson has almost dominated Food City 500 in Bristol Motor Speedway on his way to his second victory in the 2025 season and the second in the last four races. Larson led 411 out of 500 rolls, escaping him respectively in a row after he led 462 out of 500 rolls in the annual night race of the path last fall, and in this operation he became the first driver to lead more than 400 rolls in consecutive races in Bristol since Bobby Alison did so in 1972.
Winning was like a few days in a few dark days for Larson and Hendrick Motorsports. On Thursday, John Edwards – Director of Hendrick Motorsports in Communications and Public Relations Relations Larson – died – unexpectedly at the age of 53, as he took a look at the weekend and aggravated the communications that she felt throughout the NSCAR industry after the death of the former driver and the owner of the team Shigeaki Hattori and NASCARI Lorctim Nascar.
With the presence of an Edwards on board the plane, Larson brought his sad team a cup in a confirmed way, as he was unprecedented at the front of the field after ranked first in the first 100 rolls. It was a moment of recovery not only Larson and his 5 team, but also to the President of the Vice President of Hendrick Motorsports Jeff Gordon – as Edwards was a public relations representative for many years.

“This is definitely to John,” Larson told Fox SPORTS. “It was just a great man, so we will miss him, but the successful weekend here. I hope he will be here with us to celebrate, but I know that he celebrates with us with a spirit. Just a race free of flaws here in Bristol for 5 team. Car is really good. This was very fun.”
“It was a harsh week, I will be honest. I have lost someone like my brother and many other people who have influenced,” Gordon told Fox Sports. “It is clear that Kyle was very close to John, and John did a lot for him. You can say he was eagerly leading … This is John. He does not want the lights or any of this interest, but I know how proud of this performance and this team.”
Religious Hamin ranked second, with three consecutive victories, followed by Tae Gibbs, Chis Brezo and Ryan Balani wandering in the first five places. William Peron, Ross Shattan, Christopher Bell, ALLMEREREREER and Austin Dillon with the rest of the best 10.
What happened in the course of 500 rolls on Sunday was flagrantly different from what was expected. After the tires and loved ones were seen on Saturday, a lot of Sunday race expects to be distinguished by the tire and memorization strategy similar to the spring race in Bristol a year ago. But under the sunny sky and warmer temperatures compared to an unreasonable cold day on Saturday, the tire management has become a point of discussion-which makes passers-by very difficult and create a little attrition, with Shane Van Gspergen and Kodi Ware in the 2nd round on the occasion of the only accident per day.
The end result was only three warnings, and it is less in any Bristol race since 1982, and four bullets – less in Bristol since August 2008 – and an average speed of 117.703 miles per hour, which represents the fastest short track race in the history of the NASCAR Cup.
