When Luna Sophia Miranda approached Sean Baker at the nudity club in New York in 2022, she made her best to install it.
But “it is clear that he does not want to buy a dance in the lap,” she says.
Miranda, who was 23 years old at the time, started asking why he and his wife were there.
“I am very curious,” she says. “So I kept asking them questions and finally I took them out.
I told them that she studied acting, and after a successful test – she received a call on her twenty -fourth birthday, to provide her with her role in the movie.
This movie is now viewed, as one of the applicants heading to the Academy Awards on Sunday.
It was directed by Baker, and the stars Mickey Madison, who has the best actress for her role as naked in New York.
Madison, 25, relied on the missions to help her master the part.
When she won the BAFTA Film Award Last month, I devoted it to the sexual community.
“I managed to meet some of this society through my search for the movie, and that was one of the most amazing parts of making the movie,” she told us behind the scenes.
“They deserve respect and do not get it often. So I had to say anything.”
We were talking to actresses, symptoms and dancers in the film about their experiences in working on them – and their ideas about the final product.
Some have praised the film that he is realistic, especially in its depiction of the rejection and exhaustion that sex workers feel. But others said the movie is “limited.”
“I discussed not attending”

Eddie Tiuke was initially not sure to participate in the movie.
She lives a 21 -year -old girl, who is British and has appeared in Harry Potter Fantastic Beasts when she was a child, she now lives in New York where she was a student and naked.
She got a dancer in the background in Anura after she was monitored by a club’s pouring agent where she was working. But Turquet says the night before the filming, I discussed the lack of attendance.
She told me: “I didn’t want to be part of a badly stripped movie, or anything to harm our industry, so I was worried.”
“Most of the films about the missions are very exaggerated, bad and exploitative.”

Turquet refers to Zola for 2020, about a waitress going to Florida to spend a weekend of its abstraction in exchange for a quick criticism. She said, “I found that he was extra, outperforming the work completely, and I felt that he was talking to women.”
“And don’t make me start in Pretty Woman, which is surprising, especially the idea of the street factor played by Julia Roberts. Come on.”
But when Turquet Anura realized the movie Sean Baker, she changed her opinion.
She said: “His films depend on realism, and he has a style of filmmaking, which I love.” “So I was below.”
Baker’s filmmaking skills were what attracted Lindsey Normington to the movie. Actress and fun, the role of the enemy in Anura’s workplace.
She says she saw her at Even Party in the premiere of the film, and she went up to him to tell him that she is a fan.
They contacted Instagram, and after months, he called her to tell her that he may have a role in a new movie. “I fell on my knee in my house,” Nurlington said.
“I learned Mikey Stripper Slang”

In the movie, Anura is given an opportunity to escape fictional stories when she meets and falls to a rich Russian son.
Miranda, an actress and naked playing Lulu, the best friend in Anura, says she was assigned with the help of Madison as working as a real sexual worker from New York.
She said: “I shared the PDF file from the language and colloquial language that will not only understand the missions from New York.”
One of these words was “whale”, which, as Miranda explains, “a client resembling a hole of money.
Rejection, soreness, and TUPPERWARE boxes
This section contains two spoilers for Anora
Miranda said that many of the film’s topics, on the sorrow and refusal, were reliable.
“Sometimes I feel like this glossy game, which people want to play. They go,” Wow as if you were stripped. You are very cool. ”Then they threw you aside and gave up.”
“I am thinking very much because I feel like Anura a lot.”
Turquet, describing the end of “Relatble and Toinant”, adds, adding that he depicts accurately that the “exhaustion and fatigue” often feel.
“The sex industry suffers from a shock based on it. I felt realistic. It is an incredible weak industry.”
“You put yourself at risk every time you go to work. It’s a complex and exhausting job.”
But in general, she said she had mixed feelings about the movie.

And she said: “What a lot of stripped films, and what Anura begins, but does not go away enough – is the moral question about men who buy sex.”
“It is the issue of approval. Most of these films are ashamed to answer, or look at them.”
She also frustrated her that these characters “were not out of their profession.”
“[Anora] She said: “A very limited character, we never learn anything about it. The movie takes a point of view [male leads] Igor and Vania, in determining who she is.
She added: “It is better than any movie I saw on this topic, but in the end it is limited because the sex factor did not tell him.” “I can’t wait until we tell our own stories and we hope this door will open for that.”

For Normington, the movie reversed “insecurity, competition and jealousy” that she personally experienced in clubs.
“I can not try to be an ideal stripped movie.”
For Eddy Schneider, a dance and a dance designer in Los Angeles, Madison trained on dance, the filming of the world was the worldly nature of the function that struck a tendon.
In the early scenes of the film, we see Anura at work, we are talking to customers at the club.

We also see it and others suffer at lunch break, eating dining from TUPPERWARE boxes in a back room.
“I really felt accurate,” Schneider said.
“In a lot of time in [stripper] Movies, you have crushing, with a decrease in funds from the ceiling. She said, “These moments happen, but they are few and spaced. They are more than calm bustle.”
Oscar hope

When Anura came out, special offers for sex workers in New York and Los Angeles.
Footage was distributed on social media It appears that the missions are hitting high -heeled platform shoes on their heads, to show their appreciation at the end of the shows.
Madison told us: “This is the most beautiful applause you have ever received. I don’t know if that will happen again.”
Now, all eyes are on the Academy Awards.
Miranda and Norlington will attend. “It is ridiculous to think I am going to the Academy Awards, however [at the same time] “I am in the club is arguing with a stupid man of more than $ 20,” said Miranda.
“I feel I live a lake.”
She said that Madison “immediately” to say that the sexual workers community does not respect him, and said that she hopes that Anura will change that.
She said: “My hope is that if this movie won the Academy Award, it represents the beginning of a transformation in Hollywood, where sex workers are respected, as workers in their own fields, but also as an artists hotel.”
“If this movie won an Oscar, I want to see it.”
