Massive black hole ‘waking up’ in Virgo constellation

A Friday’s study said that a huge black hole in the heart of a galaxy in the constellation of the Virgin wakes up, and shoots at intense X -ray flares at regular intervals that baffle scientists.

Astronomers previously had no little reason to pay any attention to the Galaxy Sdss1335+0728, which is 300 million light -years away from the ground.

But in 2019, the galaxy suddenly started brightness with brightness around some telescopes.

Then in February last year, Chilean astronomers began noting regular shrouds of X -rays coming from the galaxy.

This was a sign that the sleeping black hole in the galaxy was waking up from its hibernation, according to the study Published In the magazine Nature astronomy.

Most galaxies, including Home Milky Way, have a superfatured black hole in their heart, like the web spider.

These invisible monsters outperform everything that comes on their way – not even light can escape their great absorption.

If the star is badly swinging very soon, it will be torn.

The shattered substance of the star becomes a stream that quickly revolves around the black hole, and the so -called accumulation disk that is swallowed gradually.

But black holes can also pass long periods of lack of activity when they do not attract the issue.

After a fairly quiet period, the bright area integrated into the heart of Galaxy Sdss1335+0728 was ranked as the “active galaxy nucleus” – and given the title “Ansky”.

“This rare event provides an opportunity for astronomers to monitor the behavior of the black hole in real time” using many X -ray telescopes, “Astronomer Loreena Hernandez Garcia of the University of Val Parisu said in a statement.

“Pay models to their borders.”

The short -term X -ray flares of ANSKY is called Quasiperodydic, or qpes.

Hernandez Garcia said: “This is the first time that we notice such an event in a black hole that seems to be waking up.”

“We do not yet understand what causes them.”

The current theory is that the qps is linked to the accumulated tablets that are formed after the stars of black holes.

But there is no sign that Ansky has recently stumbled on a star.

Its glow is very unusual.

Johen Chairporte, a PhD, said at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a member of the research team.

“Each of these explosions launches energy more than a hundred times what we saw elsewhere.”

He added that the time breaks for 4.5 days between these explosions are also longer than that.

“This drives our models to its borders and challenges our current ideas on how to generate this X -ray flash,” he said in the statement.

Astronomers were forced to reach some theories of what could cause these strange bursts.

One of them is that the accumulated disk was formed by obtaining gas in the black hole, which only shoots on X -ray torches when a small celestial organism like the star crosses its way.

“Simply imagine a black hole and a disk around it,” Norbert Circle, the chief scientist in the European Space Agency, who noticed Ansky, told AFP.

Now imagine the star who crosses the disk twice every time it revolves, and it comes out of the glow – but at a certain angle, which means “there is no real powerful power to pull it.”

“For Qipes, we are still on the point where we have more models of data.”

“We need more notes to understand what is happening.”
