The Israeli army continued to conduct dozens of air strikes in the Gaza Strip during the Jewish weekend from Friday evening to Saturday evening.
The army said on Saturday that the Air Force carried out about 150 attacks on “terrorists and terrorist infrastructure” during this period.
Over the past seven days, 300 goals have been attacked in the battle against the Palestinian Islamic Hamas movement, and since the resumption of hostilities on March 18, more than 1,400 targets have been hit, the army said.
The sealed coastal region is home to more than 2 million Palestinians.
According to reports, the ground forces destroyed a hundreds of meters long tunnel in the south near Rafah, which was equipped with deception traps.
It was claimed that 40 fighters from Hamas were killed, and many weapons and vehicles were confiscated in the militia.
The claims cannot be independently verified.
The Israeli army usually does not provide information about the number of civil losses resulting from its operations.
The Palestinian News Agency WAFA reported on Saturday afternoon, noting that Hamas’s health body had been killed and 219 others were injured within the past 24 hours due to fighting.
The number of Palestinians who have been killed since the outbreak of the Gaza war on October 7, 2023, has risen to 51157. The numbers between fighters and civilians do not separate.
This trigger for war was the worst massacre in the history of Israel, which is implemented by Hamas and other extremist Palestinian organizations in southern Israel. On the Israeli side, 1,200 people were killed.
