Nicole Kidman and Ariana Grande have become the internet’s latest obsession after posing for a photo together on the red carpet.

The pair attended the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards on Saturday afternoon, and after bumping into each other on the carpet, the badass actress, 31, knelt down to give the Babygirl star, 57, a kiss on the hand.

Although beautiful, it wasn’t the moment that caught fans’ attention, but rather what came next, as a photo of the two together shows a massive height difference.

Standing next to each other with Ariana’s arm wrapped around Nicole’s waist, the height difference between the two actresses has never been more apparent, with the eldest being taller than the youngest.

Footage of the moment was shared across social media, with many fans sharing the photo of their surprise.

@sweetenermatcha wrote: “How tall is Nicole? I didn’t realize she was so tall? Or is Ariana short?”

@arianaunext also commented, tweeting: “OMG the height difference” with a crying emoji.

Ariana confirmed in 2019 that she is 5 feet 2, or 1.54 cm, revealing on The Zach Sang Show: “I’m like a five…just five.” No, I’m 5-foot-2.

“Nicole Kidman looks like a giant,” @DailyTechpulse wrote.

Ariana has previously spoken about her height, confirming on the Zach Sang Show in 2019 that she is 5-foot-2: “I’m like five…just five.” No, I’m 5-foot-2.

Meanwhile, Nicole is 5 feet 11 or 179.1 cm tall and has previously spoken about moments when she felt insecure about her height but chose to focus on the fact that she is healthy and happy.

she said Radio Times In 2024: “Whenever I go on a red carpet, I always get shoes that are really high. I’m like, ‘Do they have kitten heels? I’ll be the tallest person — a giraffe!’

The actress went on to say that although her height has not caused any restrictions in terms of her work, she is sometimes bothered by it: “It will bother me when I act and I want to be small – but then there are times,” she said, “when I appreciate it and can use it in my work.” “.

“Hey, I’m so grateful to be healthy and walking around. However, I’ve been having knee issues and a lot of things, partly due to my height!”

Both women were honored at the Palm Springs International Film Festival where Nicole received the International Star Award for her performance in the new thriller Babygirl.

She was in tears as she accepted her award, presented to her by Jamie Lee Curtis, and thanked the organization for giving her the opportunity to thank her late mother, who tragically passed away in September.

“My entire career has been for my mother and father, who are not here now. I will continue to work and give to the world because I love what I do, I love all of you, and I am so grateful for the honor of being part of the film community.

Elsewhere, Ariana received the Rising Star Award from The White Lotus actress Jennifer Coolidge, which the villainous actress has been eyeing for years.

Upon receiving the award, the multi-talented star told the audience: “You don’t know how much this means to me.” I’ve been performing since I was a kid, so I never thought at 31 years old that I’d hear the phrase “rising star” again, so I wanted to start by thanking my two friends: Botox and Juvederm.

“I thought I would now hear ‘little fading star’ or ‘hubble star,’ so thank you,” she added.
