Wrexham confirmed that the midfielder Elliot Li was transferred to the hospital after a car accident after his match against Bolton on Tuesday evening.
“Wrexham AFC can confirm that last night, after the Vertu Trophy match against Bolton Wandeers, the first team player (Elliot Lee) participated in a road accident on the road when he returns home.”
The accident participated in another car and led to the transport of both cars to the hospital. Emergency services quickly were at the scene and the club wanted to thank them for their immediate response and work.
The player did not suffer from any major injuries, while the other car driver is treated for his injuries.
“The club will not provide any other comment at this stage.”
Lee had appeared in Wrexham 1-0 victory over Bolton at The Vertu Trophy Tuesday evening.
