Such a system would pose unprecedented operational security risks and undermine cybersecurity in the zero confidence that prevents breach in one agency from spreading through the government. The information obtained by the committee also indicates that the individuals associated with DOGE have collected backpacks full of laptops, each of which has access to various agencies systems, which DOGE employees use to combine the databases that are currently kept by multiple federal agencies.
