Cher claimed she couldn’t actually remember who she lost her virginity to.
The 78-year-old music icon spoke about her first encounter in her latest book Cher: The Memoir, Part One, recalling that it happened with a man in Toluca Lake.
During a talk show appearance Tuesday night, host Jimmy Kimmel joked that the area wasn’t far from the studio and asked if she could point out the spot.
She laughed and joked: “I don’t remember the place and I don’t remember the man!”
Jimmy then replied: “Didn’t he contact you?” You know he must have been telling everyone. right?’
“No,” the Faithful hitmaker said. I have people you mentioned there and I’m wondering, what do they think?
She also mentioned a man she mentioned in the book – but refused to mention during her TV appearances – who was “very instrumental” in helping her leave ex Sonny Bono, as their marriage ended after 11 years in 1975.
“I wonder, I mentioned his full name, so I wonder, how does he feel about that? But he should feel good, because he was a really good person,” she added.
Cher admitted in her memoir that her first sexual experience was “largely exaggerated.”
She explained that it was because she had a crush on a boy in her neighborhood whom she started dating when she was 14 years old, and they would often kiss in her bedroom.
But she recalled that the boy’s behavior began to change when his friends were around, saying he went from acting “nice” to treating her “like an embarrassing child.”
One day, when the boys were planning to go to a restaurant, they sarcastically asked her boyfriend if he would bring that “baby” – prompting him to dump her.
“I felt so hurt when he did that, and I had sex with him to get revenge,” Cher continued in her autobiography. I never wanted that. Otherwise I would have done it one of the other 500 times he asked.
“But I was so angry about being fired that I decided – if I wasn’t going to lose – to lend my virginity to him.”
She also couldn’t resist adding that she wasn’t impressed with his performance.
When what turned out to be a greatly exaggerated experiment was over, I asked him: Is this the case? Are we finished?
Then she told him to go home and never come back. I wanted him to feel as rejected as he made me feel.
Cher went on to meet Sonny as a teenager in 1962 and they began working together, before things turned romantic.

Cher married Gregg Allman in 1975, and had a son, Elijah, with the rock singer, before they legally separated in 1979.
She has also enjoyed high-profile romances with Gene Simmons, Val Kilmer and Tom Cruise, before going public with music executive Alexander “AE” Edwards in November 2022.
At 38, Edwards is about 40 years her junior.
