Chelsea and Liverpool are reportedly interested in Napoli winger Hvicha Kvaratskhelia who could become available in the January transfer window.
The 23-year-old has been one of Napoli’s standout players since arriving in a €10m (£8.6m) deal from Dinamo Batumi in 2022, helping guide the club to their first Serie A title in 33 years in his first season.
Kvaratskhelia, who has scored 5 goals in 17 league matches so far this season, held talks about a new contract with the Italian club, but no agreement was reached.
The Georgian still has a contract until June 2027, but the lack of progress on an extension has sparked interest from some of Europe’s top clubs.
Paris Saint-Germain are seen as the favorite to sign the winger after unsuccessfully trying to sign him away from Napoli last summer.
But according to The athleteBoth Liverpool and Chelsea are keenly interested in Kvaratskhilia who could command a fee of around €80m (£67m).
The report suggests that Liverpool, in particular, would consider signing the winger in the current transfer window if Napoli decide to cash in on their prized asset this month.

Arne Slott’s side are well-resourced in wide areas and may have to agree to a big-money sale in order to raise the funds to try and bring Kvaratskhelia to Anfield.
Napoli are also said to be interested in a deal for Federico Chiesa who has barely featured since joining the Merseyside club from Juventus in the summer.
Meanwhile, other reports have suggested that Napoli have held talks with Manchester United over a potential swap deal involving Marcus Rashford and Kvaratskhelia.
It appears that Rashford’s days at Old Trafford are numbered under new coach Ruben Amorim, as he has not played in United’s last six matches in all competitions.
The Serie A club are understood to be keen on an initial loan deal with an option to buy, while another major issue is United’s insistence on covering more than half of Rashford’s £325,000-a-week salary.
Rashford’s representatives have also held talks with Milan, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund this month as they look to secure the 27-year-old’s exit from his boyhood club.
