Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – five judges in the Supreme Court spent that former Brazilian President Gere Bolsonaro would be tried for allegedly trying to cancel his loss in his re -election for 2022.

The Judges Committee voted to move forward on the trial on the second day of the actions against the former right -wing leader. They all agreed that the allegations against Bolsonaro shown in a 884 -page report by the Federal Investigation Police, which was published last November, justified the trial.

Prosecutors say that Bolsonaro participated and ordered a conspiracy to cancel his loss for his re -election, and even plan to poison his successor and the current president, Luiz Inosio Lula Da Silva, and killed the vice president and the Supreme Court judge.

The same justice, Alexander Morris reported this week’s procedures and said that there was “reasonable evidence” that Bolsonaro “knew and discussed” a coup plans.

Bolsonaro has long denied any violations and claims to simulate political motives.

send On the social networking site x on Wednesday, he said that the judges are biased against him and rushed through the procedures so that he could not run again for positions in 2026. He also presented a long defense after the ruling, declaring his innocence.

The five judges were unanimous in their arrangement. They said that seven allies close to Bolsonaro should also be tried on five charges: the attempt to coup, participate in an armed criminal organization, and tried to cancel the violence of democratic law, and the damage that is violent and the serious threat against the state’s assets and the revenge of the included heritage.

Bolsonaro’s allies are former defense ministers, General Walter Braga Nito and General Paulo Sergio Nugra de Oliveira; Former naval commander Bolsonaro, Admiral Adminer Garnere Santos; Former Security Minister Anderson Torres; Former spy chief, Alexander Ramjim; His former institutional security minister, General Augusto Heleno and his former assistant, Lieutenant Colonel Mauro Sayed.

CID has made an appeal with prosecutors and will face a lighter penalty if convicted.

Although Bolsonaro attended the first day of procedures, he was not present when the committee ruled.

This is a great defeat for the former president, who held his position from 2019 until the end of 2022.

After losing his narrow re -election, Bolsonaro supporters were camping in front of military facilities throughout Brazil, and urged the army to interfere in the results and cancel the results. Polsonaro left the United States before he took office. A week after the opening day, his supporters looted government buildings in the capital, Brazilia. More than 1,400 were arrested.

Bolsonaro has already been banned from running for positions until 2030. Brazil’s electoral courts were prevented to abuse power after he has submitted baseless claims about the voting system in Brazil before the 2022 elections.

He also faces investigations to falsify vaccination records and personal benefit from the illegal sale of gifts provided to the President’s Office of Foreign Governments. The police raided his house in 2023 while investigating the potential falsification of Covid-19 vaccine cards, which said that the unjust travelers, including Polsonaro, could enter the requirements of mandatory immunization in the United States and the skirt at that time.

If he is convicted of current charges, it may be prohibited permanently from politics and face contracts in prison.
