Legendary American songwriter Bob Mold will release a new album, “Here We Go Crazy,” later this year.

A key figure in the birth and evolution of indie rock, Bob Mold remains a force to be reckoned with. A remarkable living artist, his recent albums rank among the best of his solo era.

Released on March 7, Here We Go Crazy is his first studio album in four years, and his fifteenth overall. The material was laid down at famed Electrical Audio in Chicago in early 2024 and then finished and mixed at Tiny Telephone in Oakland, California with longtime engineer Bo Sorenson.

Pre-orders are available now For standard vinyl, limited edition color vinyl, limited edition t-shirts, CDs, bundles, and more.

The title track is out now, and it’s a great example of Bob’s formula of control and editing, the work of an artist who knows exactly what he wants to achieve.

Gus Black directs the video with Bob Mold on top of a SoCal mountain.

“I’ve spent some time in the Southern California desert over the past few years, and the video was shot there,” Mold says. “Cold wilderness atop the mountaintop, wide vistas down the ridge, and remote places to escape the routine of life.” “Crazy” can be many different things. The joy of reckless abandonment, the uncertainty of the future of the world, and the silence of isolation.
