4. Discussion

We seek to determine the mechanisms that produce different biases and why there is a racist bias, but not the gender bias in NFTS prices. Most NFTs are in the market, especially those of sex and race, symbolic embodiment. These NFTS can be used, especially expensive like Cryptopunks, as a profile image, and therefore people may prefer NFTS that resemble themselves. Thus we believe that the population composition of NFT investors is the mechanisms that produce these biases.

According to data by statistica [2] [4]Of the age group (18-34) with the greatest interest in NFTS, men and women have NFTS equally with 24 % of men and 21 % of the total investor population. Consequently, the fact that we do not notice the gender bias in NFT prices may be due to the almost budget of investors across sex.

However, the distribution of the NFT purchase may be deviant white, which explains the existence of racial bias. Using Google search operations as an agent for the amount of NFT investors in a region, in the past five years, we have found that the term “NFT” was searched in East Asia and North America and less research in Africa and India. Consequently, more people are lighter than NFTS compared to dark -skinned people and may be the reason that NFTS is lighter in weight. The full map of Google’s search processes can be found in Figure 7 in the A.3 appendix.
