Two Russian men told Yazid that they were former leaders of the Wagner Group, a human rights activist that they had killed children and civilians during their time in Ukraine.
Claims in video interviews were made with Gulagu.net, a human rights organization targeting corruption and torture in Russia.
In the interviews published on the Internet, former Russian convicts described Azamat Uldarov and Alexey Savichev – who have recovered from Russian presidential ceremonies last year, according to Gulagu.net – their actions in Ukraine, during the invasion of Russia.
CNN cannot verify her claims or identities independently in videos, but she obtained Russian sanctions documents that have been released on the presidential amnesty in September and August 2022.
Odarov, who seems to drink alcohol, explains how he shot and killed a five or six -year -old girl.
“It was an administrative decision. I was not allowed to allow anyone to live, because my leadership was killing anything on my way,” he said.
According to Gulagu.net, certificates were presented to the Russian founder and dissident Vladimir Osishkin for a week. Olarov and Savitchev said they were in Russia when they spoke.
“I want Russia and other nations to know the truth,” Odarov said.
The Vagner Group is a Russian special mercenary organization fighting in Ukraine, headed by the Russian few Yivgene Briguzhin.
She recruited tens of thousands of fighters from Russian prisons, as she provided freedom and criticism after a six -month tour. It is estimated by Western intelligence officials and the prison invitation groups that between 40,000 and 50,000 men have been recruited.
“They were given an order to exterminate everyone,” said Odarov in the Ukrainian eastern cities in Solider and Bakhmout – who witnessed some of the finest fighting – giving Vagner mercenaries.
He added: “There is a superiority over all the leaders – it is Prigzhin, who told us not to allow anyone to get out of there and exterminate everyone.” CNN had already reported the former Wagner fighters who made similar claims.
It seems that Uldarov has retracted his account in a video call with the Russian News Agency associated with Priguzhin.
At one point of the interview, Savichev described how “they got an order to implement any 15 -year -old men.”
He also talked about obtaining “sweeping” house orders. He said: “It does not matter whether there is a civilian or not. I must sweep the house. I did not give AF ** K who was inside.”
“Whether it was a hut or a house, the point was to make sure that there was no single person inside,” he said. “You can condemn me for this. I will not object. This is your right. But I wanted to live too.”
Savitchev said that the Vagner fighters who did not follow orders were killed.
The head of the Vagner Briguzhin Group confirmed on a telegram channel that he saw parts of the video, and threatened revenge against the former Wagner fighters. He said, “As for what was filmed (Ouksin), I looked at cutting the video that I was able to see,” he said. “I can say the following: If at least one of these accusations is confirmed against me, I am ready to be held accountable according to any laws.”
But Prigzhin said that “if nothing is confirmed, I will send a list of 30 to 40 people spit in my face like Ouksin (there is a full list of them, including scum from Russia) that the office of the Public Prosecutor in Ukraine is required to hand over me to a fair trial,” so to speak. ”
“They will not be” civilians “for us, especially children, who we have never touched on and did not touch it. This is a blatant lie. These people (spread lies) are our enemies, and we will deal with them in a special way.
Earlier, Prigzhin said at Telegram: “With regard to the implementation of children, of course, no one shoots civilians or children, at all no one needs this. We came there to save them from the system they were suffering from.”
Andrei Yermak, head of the Ukrainian president’s office, said in a tweet on Monday that the group should be held accountable.
“The Russian terrorists have recognized many of the murders of Ukrainian children in Khomeut and Solider. Recognition is not enough. There must be a punishment. He said.
In February, CNN spoke to two former Wagner fighters who described how convicts who were recruited were pushed into the front lines in a human wave, reminiscent of the charges of World War I. They said that the fugitives, or those who reject orders were killed and there was no evacuation of the wounded.
In January, the US Treasury Department set the Vagner Group as an important criminal organization across patriotism, and imposed a large group of new sanctions on a national network that supports it.
The US State Department has declared simultaneously a number of sanctions aimed at “targeting a group of major infrastructure in Wagner – including a flying company used by Wagner, the Wagner Advertising Organization, and Wagner’s front companies,” according to US Secretary of State Anthony Blakenn.
