The moon turned red in an event known as the blood moon after the eclipse of the moon – which was partially clear in the UK immediately before dawn on Friday.
In the UK, the moon had already been placed under the horizon by the time of the full lunar eclipse at 6.58 am, so the partial lunar eclipse was visible, and instead of everything, the moon appeared in red.
But the complete lunar eclipse was visible to people in North and South America and amazing photos were published from there.
The moon turned into the dark when he moved to the earth’s shadow and eventually appeared in red, hence he came “Blood Moon” nickname.
The sun, the earth and the moon almost align, not completely, during the partial lunar eclipse, creating a dark section on the moon.
Blood moon is a phenomenon that only a few times a year. The last lunar eclipse was in May 2022 when the moon turned into red.

“When the Earth comes between the sun and the moon, the only sunlight must pass that can reach the moon first through the Earth’s atmosphere.
“With the sunlight entering the air, the different wavelengths (and thus colors) will spread from light and wear them in different quantities. Blue light is a lot, which is why our sky is blue.
“The red light is often not affected by the atmosphere gases, so it travels throughout the way through them and leave the other side where it can shine on the moon, making it look red.”
Among those watching from the United Kingdom, the moon was expected to start turning red at approximately 5:30 am, and the best views were 6.30 am, according to astronomers.
Mr. Foster said that no equipment was needed to look at.
According to the Royal Astronomical Society, some people living in the western UK may have seen the eclipse of the entire moon with the naked eye, allowing the weather.
Others are expected to be in the east and southeast of England who are only able to see a partial eclipse of the moon. This is because the moon will not be completely inside the earth’s shadow by the time it places.
According to MET office, it was possible to cover a lot of the United Kingdom by the cloud when the eclipse was more clear, regardless of parts of southeast and east of Angelia and central Scotland.
