Jacques Dripper was criticizing his performance against Jerry Lika, despite hitting his Czech rival to reserve his place in the Qatar Open Championship final.

The young British André Rubelv will face the title of Saturday, and already guarantees access to the high ATP classification, regardless of whether he wins or loses.

Dripper is expected to rise to the twelfth place after reaching the final, while the victory over Roblef will see an additional place to 11.

It took some time to go against Lika, and lost the first group before returning to win 3-6 7-6 6-3.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, Draper admitted that he was “dirty” on early stock exchanges, but he said he was happy with the way he resisted to regain control of the competition.

“I thought about the first group that I put in a dirty game,” he said. “Jerry goes out with this fiery power. Like the last match, I started getting progress in his service and you were a little easier.

“I felt improving with the continuation of the match and yes, very proud of the way I competed.”

Derbar seems to have a talent to win drawn matches, as he also came from behind to beat Matteo Bertini in the quarter -finals earlier this week.

He explained that he gained confidence from playing matches from five groups in the Australian Open, which helped him drill deeply and prevailed when it became difficult against Lika.

“At the end of last year, I started picking up some real momentum, I was playing some good tennis and then I couldn’t play for about a month,” Dryber said.

“In Australia, tennis were everywhere, but he gave me some confidence in getting five games. I came here, I felt better in tennis and even better in my body.”

Dripper hopes to maintain his winning shape against Roblev, a player who has not been defeated before, when they are fighting a battle in the final on Saturday.

Their last meeting in the US Open Championship came in 2023, when Darbar fell in four groups, but he will look forward to presenting a better novel for himself after two years of developed his craft.

“I am definitely a different player when I last played,” he said. “He is a person who respects him collectively. He was in the top ten for many years and will come out and play incredibly. I will be ready for that.”
